What to Expect

When you attend a Pickleball Play Day, expect to challenge yourself, make friends, and get some low impact exercise.

We divide courts based upon the skill level of players. One court is for new players learning the game. The second court is for players working on game play. The third court is for players competing in games. Every court has coaches and volunteers to assist players.

Common Questions and Answers

Can I attend if I do not know how to play pickleball?

Absolutely. Our volunteer coaches love teaching beginners how to play.

What do I need to bring?

Wear athletic clothing and court shoes if possible. We’ll have paddles for you to use and we’ll also have sport wheelchairs if you want to use one. Most days we’ll have bottled drinks, but it would be smart for you to bring some water.

How much movement is needed to play pickleball?

Generally, pickleball is a low impact form of exercise. You will need to move around some to hit the pickleball. We modify the rules to allow for two bounces of the ball which makes it easier for adaptive players to have longer rallies. If you are very athletic then you may play a faster, more active game.

What ages are the players?

Players of all ages attend.
