OVERVIEW
Adaptive Pickleball (APB) is hosting an IN THE KITCHEN Cook-Off Competition on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Magnetic South Brewery.
Every dish in the cook-off will showcase the flavor of pickles. Yep… every entry will make the flavor of pickles the star of their dish. Hot dish. Cold dish. Baked dish. Non-alcoholic beverage. Ice cream. Expect to taste lots of pickle-licious dishes.
There is a $20 fee for chefs to enter the competition and prizes will be awarded for the top three dishes. For a $20 donation to APB, the public gets bite-size samples and will vote on the winning dishes.
All donations support Adaptive Pickleball, a 501c3 non-profit based in Greer that teaches people with cognitive, physical and developmental challenges how to play pickleball.
Tickets for the IN THE KITCHEN Cook-Off Competition are available to purchase at the link below. Magnetic South Brewery is located in the Judson Mill District – map.

FOR THE COOKS
The IN THE KITCHEN Cook-Off Competition will work like a typical cook-off. You cook a dish off-site. (No cooking on-site.) You bring bite-size samples for the public to taste and judge. The only truly kooky thing is your dish must make the flavor of pickles the star of your dish. (Expect to prepare an estimated 125 bite-size samples.)
It’s happening on Saturday, February 22 at Magnetic South Brewery. Setup begins at 1:00. Competition starts at 2:00 and ends at 3:45. Winners will be announced by 4:15.
It’s a $20 donation to enter the cook-off as a chef. (The chef entry fee will be waived for APB players/parents and for culinary students.)
First place dish wins a $150 gift card. Second place dish gets a $75 gift card. Third place dish gets a $25 gift card. And the dish with the most creative use of pickle flavors will receive a $25 gift card. (Gift card retailer is TBD.)
